Just wanted to share the Christmas books we've added to our collection since this last post! Several of these I picked up last February from a local library's used bookstore (who knows if it'll ever re-open *sniff*), others were gifts, thrifted, or from other used bookstores.
The Night Before Christmas illustrated by Tasha Tudor
Mr. Willowby's Christmas Tree
An Orange for Frankie
Strega Nona's Gift
The Crayons' Christmas
The Christmas Cat
Jolly Old Santa Claus- this I bought for the illustrations. Growing up we had Christmas placemats my mom bought at a drugstore with illustrations by George Hinke, some of which are in this book. My parents still have the placemats; they're definitely a family heirloom!
Gingerbread Baby by Jan Brett
The Christmas Boot
The Night Before Christmas, illustrated by Tomie dePaola
The Story of the Three Wise Kings
The Christmas Cookie Sprinkle Snitcher
The Spider's Gift
Apple Tree Christmas
Bambinelli Sunday
The Real Mother Goose Book of Christmas Carols
Christmas With Little Women
A Country Christmas by Cynthia Rylant
A Wish to be a Christmas Tree
And added this year:
The Quiet Little Woman by Louisa May Alcott
The Twenty-Four Days Before Christmas: An Austin Family Story by Madeline L'Engle (had a really difficult time tracking this one down for a not $$ price; the linked copy is the cheapest price I've seen yet!)
The Christmas Cupboard by Margo Hoff
Seek and Find: A Christmas Carol (Learned of this from my sister- such a cute book!)
